CHOOSING THE CORRECT FRAME SIZE

Complimentary bike fitting

Bike Sizing is not the most exciting topic to learn about, but it is one of the most crucial. Having the right bike size is not just a matter of comfort -- it can prevent injury both short and long term, and allows you to have a much better riding experience as a result.

With these charts you can see the general rule of thumb when it comes to height versus frame size.

Bikes do vary in size depending on  manufacturer and brand, so we always encourage you to visit one of our shops, if possible, to get a complementary fitting and to test ride any of our bikes.

Important to get it right

Even experienced cyclists find it tricky too, when choosing the right size frame as it depends on many factors  such as the type of bike, your height and your riding style.

If you purchase a bike from us online, don't worry, if for any reason the bike is the wrong size or you simply don't get along with it we are more than happy for you to return it.

The most important thing for us is that you get the right bike.

How to measure for yourself

f you would like a more accurate measurement:

  • Stand up straight with bare feet.
  • Position your feet approximately 200mm apart.
  • Place a tube with a diameter of approx. 35mm firmly up into the crutch until you can feel it against the bone.
  • Measure the distance in cm from the floor to the top of the tube. Be sure to take a measurement from the front and rear for complete accuracy.
  • Add the 2 measurements together and then divide by 2. The result is your inside leg measurement.
  • Next multiply the inside leg measurement by 0.64 and this will give you your ideal frame size.
